It's been week 402 of telling boss that i'm tired, it's gotten even more tiering with each week yet i somehow survived 402. I do not know how much more i must endure, nor how much i can, but the cycle doesn't seem to end any time soon.

If it took 80 chapters after a chapter's introduction, counting all the flashbacks, backstories etc to FINALLY find out that it has some sort of visual impairment and EVEN THEN ONLY THROUGH IMPLICATION OF THE PHRASE 'YOU CAN SEE HIM?' then no, she was never blind
Similarly if it took 80 chapters to reveal an exception to the magic rules of the world when it could have happened 80 chapters ago with all those classes scenes, and through A FLASHBACK [TO THEM], NO LESS, it never actually existed.
They're the same thing. A retcon is a retcon, regardless if it's a rule or a character trait. And something WAS overwritten. THE FACT THAT SHE CLEARLY WAS/IS SEEING STUFF, WITHOUT A SINGLE HINT TO THE CONTRARY UNTILL THAT SPECIFIC LINE WHICH IS IMPLYING OTHERWISE.
[edit] tho people keep mentioning how it's mentioned, so i'll have to find the exact chapter it is until the final verdict. If it is, it only then isn't, if it ISN'T MENTIONED, it counts as one.

If it's integral to the story, after the author did SO DAMN MANY and SO LONG flashbacks/backstories for everyone and their introductions, yes it is a retcon. Anywhere there it could have been mentioned in passing, or through visual ques, but it wasn't. We're at chapter 144 for God's sake. We should have known this literally about 80 chapters ago.
[edit] there's evidence in chapter 68 of it. Had this evidence not existed it would have been a retcon.

Unless anyone is able to find any chapter at least hinting that she's blind or something, i'm counting it as a retcon
