I really like it when the power ranking is separate from politics. I don't get how so many stories make the strongest person also the leader of a government, that never made sense to me. Now, tbf, that king is a whole other trope that I don't like, but...

First of all, why does she want that sword? Even the wizard king isn't able to hold it for too long because it drains mana.
Second, I kinda hate how every arc has like a buzzword that they keep throwing around. The water temple had despair and now fate. I get that that's a really common trope that every arc has its own theme that Asta has to fight against, but that just makes every arc even more formulaic which I complained about last chapter.

Side note, I love complaining about tropes and stuff on my account, but I actually am really enjoying this manga so far, so don't get it twisted.

This is getting really formulaic. The gang goes somewhere, gets in trouble and then gets attacked by the eye of the midnight sun/diamond kingdom. The magic dungeon arc, the kingdom attack arc, the kids arc, the water temple arc, the second kingdom attack arc, and now this. This is the 6th arc in a row that this happened.

This motivation sounds insane at first glance, but I genuinely get super melancholic whenever I think about all the different amazing movies, manga, video games, music albums, etc. that I will never get to experience because I will die before they come out. It's stupid to get all nihilistic over FOMO, but I lowkey really understand her motivation.

Last month, I watched Perfect Blue for the first time, and in my Letterboxd review I said "Satoshi Kon is like a loverchild between Christopher Nolan and Tatsuki Fujimoto." But I don't know if I stand by that statement because this might be the most confused I've ever been.

There are 10 characters with powers so far, 8 if you don't include the Ice witch since she's an overarching antagonist instead of a character, and if you don't include the metal guy from the first 2 chapter. 6 of all the characters with powers have regeneration. I suppose creative powers come later in Tatsuki Fujimoto's life, huh...

Respectfully, why is every male character except for Yokoi and his coworker such an asshole? Half of the male characters are cartoonishly evil and rude, which doesn't really fit the vibe of the story.
