I managed to read 15 chapters but the premise of this Manhwa is so bad I couldn't continue. Imagine YOU yourself have a LOT of talent in magic and then you have a son that also has A LOT of talent in magic, but you won't teach him anything until you have to because you "suffered" for being too talented. That's actually braindead, instead of preparing his son for the life he will eventually need to experience in a competitive enviroment and at a country that's at war, he let his son go to the academy knowing fuck all to be a target anyways since he's the Special admission Number One and that already attracted hatred in 15 chapters, imagine when the MC gets actually OP with time because he's a genius that will shine. But you sent him underprepared, with basically no knowledge of how the world works instead of teaching him from an early age so even if he became a target he could've defended himself.

Forget everything else, that living room arrangement is CRAZY.

Idk about you, but I definetly read too much and that makes it so I nitpick A LOT and get annoyed easily by cliches.

They could've spent a bit more effort in that castle, atleast so its not blurry anymore.

I learned to expect no romance from any manhwa that isnt focused in romance. The only manhwa that I can remember having a nice romance while it not being the focus is SSS-Class Suicide Hunter. Action/Fantasy manhwas usually make the MC as dense as possible and fill that shit up with misunderstandings so the romance takes as long as possible to happen.

I finally remembered to go back and check, but Japan pulled all of this shittery and failed in the end.

Yeah, no movies at the end of the classes before the holidays because people wouldnt sit still and watch a movie even when the teacher was nice enough to not give any tasks related to it, you only needed to sit still and watch a dope ass movie and enjoy not having classes or homework.
