The anime has been quite faithful to the manga except for this part, or at least I dont remember Kikoru saw her mother during her battle, or maybe that will be in 3rd season

The plot around Li Huo is funny. Holy Son Li Huo was impregnated by Lord Attendant God, and it was because of the fetus he was carrying that he was so strong. Then Nie Li performed an abortion, and now without the fetus, he's not that strong anymore, and he's even submissive now haha
