Lmao i get that it was an emotional moment, but i can't imagine getting to read this bi-monthly or monthly while it was releasing and having a fifth of one of the chapters being pure black with a line

I love that this guy's sense of justice is as objectively twisted as it can possibly be. Here he is having murdered 30+ people and ficilitated the rape of countless women, still able to claim that he is righteous and his sense of justice is valid and that Kouga is the one that needs to be "bent" to it. As a reader there is no question that the guy is the worst of the worst and shouldn't be trusted, but for Kouga who has just been through the most stressful day of his life, and just discovered a horrific truth about his father and the company he is destined to inherit, the bullshit he's spitting is actually worming its way into his mind.

This arc isn't uninteresting. learning Kouga's motivations and resolve for becoming a hero, plus what seems to be some failed ZET(players? i forget what their kind are called) trying to test him for some yet to be known reason is pretty intriguing, but 10 entire chapters without the whereabout of the MC being even mentioned is a bit much.

How on earth does alicia's execution affect what's his name's standing? Sure controvesy surrounding the royal family isn't a good look, but we're 7 years removed from the event and it happened during the previous king's rule not the current's. Alicia's execution had nothing to do with the line of succession, and if some aristocrats had discovered there was something fishy about Alicia's trial their greivances would have been with the previous king Eules' judgement, not with the current king. Also where is all of this division amongst the aristocrats and nobles even coming from? Alicia was shown to have been the black sheep of the royal family and had very few friends. Why would they have any reason to believe that the accusations against her weren't true? How is it that HALF of the aristocracy is currently up in arms about her execution that happened 7 years prior, during the previous king's rule.
It could be that tower mage from Aisha's first birthday drumming up support against the royal family, but unless he has concrete evidence i highly doubt they'd give a shit.

Also how the hell does the assassination of the next in line to a nation that you're in a peace treaty with help divert attention away from this "flaw". If said nation figures out that the assassination attempt was conducted on the orders of the royal family this will simply be another flaw for the aristocracy to exploit to cause more division, and unlike a 7 year removed execution that happened because of someone else, this is a fuck up that could cause a war with another country strong enough to fight you to a stalemate. Even if it succeeded without being discovered, this assassination would cause Elmir to become paranoid and more than likely encourage them to strengthen their standing military and personal security, making any other planned assassination attempts harder and making the kingdom more difficult to assualt.

IDK, maybe i've missed something, maybe there's a discovery around the corner that makes this make sense, but from top to bottom this whole thing just seems kinda dumb

Really just kinda speed ran the assassination/ inversed snow white plot. i feel like i got whiplash. Between the initial shock and investigation, imprisoning the mermaids, Abigail officially becoming temporary regent, succession debates, the discovery of the curse and alot more that didn't get mentioned this arc could have easily been atleast 5 - 10 chapters without it feeling like it was dragging out. Hell we didn't even actually get to see blanche's reaction to seeing her dead dad, just a single panel of her hold back tears while talking to Nadia. Wonder why the author didn't think this was important enough to flesh out
