That was a little different betwen yaoi and gender bender,
- yaoi is full straight gei
- Gender bender just make us confuse about the character gender, like a character that hide her/his gender and try to cross dressing and in the end of story that character will show his/her true gender, or maybe like some characters hide his/her gender for entry story and stilll mysterious till the end of story.
But rights now the most gender bender just cross dressing and the gender of the character has been show from the start and the author just make them some gei stuff (no secret anymore just straight of gei stuff with changes of clothes)
