honestly i don't mind the MC not revealing his trait and that he stockpiled on necessities and also build a base, he has the right to feel defensive, after all the world is filled with shitty people, hopefully tho when they get more closer to each other he will reveal them, sooner than meeting his friends, and hopefully it's not when they are in mortal danger because the gym peoples isn't really a total stranger, they know you, frequently meet you, hopefully MC open his heart and his portal to them lol

honestly i don't see anything wrong with it, people who have played the game has a high chance of awakening and that's, with what we've seen, is only around 5000, hopefully tho other people that haven't played the game awakened too, and the system is for those who awakened right? i thought that was pretty common/normal in these type of stories, and the apocalypse is not that common but have been done too in addition to the awakening and system, this is not new, so i don't know why you'd question the design or rather the setting for this story

in some story they get teleported out to a tower like world and when they get out the world is run over by monsters, that's apocalypse + power awakening + system as well

i'm at a point where idgaf abt real life physic laws in stories if they're not trying to be one, i'm just here for the ride, just cruise and enjoy lol, besides they have system menus and otherworldly beasts/animals/monsters, i don't see why this would be similar to our world

what most games are you talking abt? souls games have them, rpgs have them, even racing sometimes have them, fps have them, most war games have them, the systems could range from actual system menu like shown in this manhwa, or could be in a form of tech tree where the more you play the more powerful the unlocked tech tree are, slight increase with percentage, unlocking more powerful item locked behind experience levels, even maps i'd categorize as a system if they can just pull it out of nowhere, it's all systems, and since they adapted a game into a real world experience, it's not surprising they they'd also implement the system menu, if you want to read real life survival without menu, go watch walking dead, or read last of us or watch them or play the game, idk if the last of us game have a system menu lol
