Like I said, he also treated her like property and looked down on her, and stole from and other shit her Nie Li benefactor.

Also I recall something like him showing jealousy of spending time with Nie Li and showing it in the worst way, basically forbidding her or something while insulting Nie Li as lowly.

He didn't do anything horrific to either of them, not "evil", just a arrogant asshole on a consistent bases

Also Nei li helped her alot with being mentally and physically stronger. And this bastard for example robbed Nie with this ranking event thing where you defeat mobs in a area and collect this thing they drop and are ranked on the droppings and Bastard stole Nie's droppings, mugging Nie, and some other shit. So she feels really indebted to Nie so that shit was like it was done to her.

I don't remember all specifics but I think he was a arranged marriage ex-fiance that treated her like property before they even were married? Of course they never did get married. Partly because Ni-lie helped her get strong enough that she could properly say no to the marriage without too much push-back from the family/clan, I think.

That's how it's looking. I have some theories but right now don't have the time and energy to put it down.

The full title is "Helmut: The Forsaken Child" But Helmut is the MC's name.

It's kind of like Salvos, which has a longer title I don't remember but the MC is also named Salvos. Salvos a good comic and even better novel it's based on

Foreshadowing is a narrative device in which suggestions or warnings about events to come are dropped or planted.

That mistake in judgement is based on a future event that is being hinted at by this narrative word box. How is that not foreshadowing?

Like Mango said, Helmut. But it is a decent series I think despite that.

Stupid foreshadowing. Just tell the story normally, don't give depressing hints about the future. I've even seen where the foreshadowing doesn't even exactly come true.
"little do I know this is the last time I can spend time with them at the academy."
one arc latter back at the academy.

You stupid lying foreshadowing, don't do this author, especially if you're going to change your mind latter. but even if you don't.

I find it stupid with stories that have the premise that immortality is inherently a curse and bad thing. There are people who raise very short lived animals like ferret who live between 5-10 years, despite repeatedly experiencing the death of loved pets they move on. Human minds can adapt. I suppose it would depend on the person as well and who knows really. But it would make sense for a human mind to adapt to outliving loved ones in a similar way, at least some. Besides, it happens when loved ones die early all the time.

Going from some boring thought talk about how influential some random clan is to

Huh? What's this suppose to mean and how is it related to the previous thought subject?

It would be more practical to live hidden deep underground or under the ocean than in space anyway.

That's not how things work though. That's like diving down in the middle of the ocean in some random spot and going "let's just go down as deep as possible and hope for the best" Or say jumping out of a plane without a parachute at a random location and hoping for the best etc. I hope you get the idea. Without a plan and good info interstellar travel is a death sentence, even with super advanced technology.

They'd need a planet they can each within a sustainable time period that can sustain them.
