i hope he didnt just not take the power because he sensed he didnt have it anymore but either
1. he has some kind of connection to turbo granny(she once saw his face and called him turbo geezer)
or 2. he, just like okarun at the start of the series, wants someone to talk to about spiritual stuff and because okarun seemed so interested he let him live

the area wasnt there that long she fused with a territorial spirit(maybe thats the reason she even attacked the two of them because of the mind of the territorial spirit) but otherwise she was always on the move to said places with gruesome deaths and didnt have any territory in which you would be attacked

i think it was said at some point that turbo granny just went to places with gruesome deaths of teenagers to console them and help them go to the afterlife

mc said he will fullfill a wish of turbo granny for helping + they will get his last ball back so i feel like its more likely that turbo granny gets her powers back and mc will get the power of this curse
