The only thing that boders me is that she not only blamed only herself but also had no hard feeling about being killed. He was way too extreme in his response.

However I really liked the story and I can relate to her quest of being more honest. Good stuff

Theory 1: he was a hero and took on the position of villain to save the world (like 13). Maybe became Demon King to control monsters and protect humans? The humans are much weaker after all. They could have probably been annihilated by a full scale invasion/war.

Also would explain him "unlocking" memories. He prop had them sealed or smt. Also he has memories of killing a god so maybe that's part of the reason, maybe a curse.

Theory 2 (less likely): demons were not always evil, prop coexisted with humans, but somehow had to become evil or smt
