I personally would prefer Sawamura stay as a spectator. He isn’t fighter anymore, nor is he violent like he used to be. He finally received praise and reward for his hard work.

A student who always gets F’s on tests studies for weeks and finally gets a B+ wouldn’t want to go back to school in order to try and get an A-. He’s satisfied, and we should be too

I doubt he’ll ever come back as a fighter. His story arc was very conclusive. Even though he hasn't shown evidence of brain damage, there’s no way he’s battle-ready.
