It started good, don't get me wrong. But it just spiraled into a cliché and abstract series. It's almost like every other chapter was a "lesson" on something. Just felt like a chore to read and overall bland with no real feel to it. The series as a whole was mostly surrounding the female mc, and they never received reality checks, everything was way too easy. There wasn't any character development and the whole series didn't give me any oomph

I feel like the vice master dude is more passionate about the alchemy itself rather than money, and anybody who decides to actually develop and refine their own recipe as well as pay a certain fee has full and undeprived access to the entire database (depending on your alchemy rank.)
