The manga makes some slight changes to the story that have a significant impact on the way the story feels. Like in the WN the catgirl guard hadn't been aware of Tata's feelings for Wazu, and when he shows up looking for Tata after she fled she gives him a very harsh speech about how he should leave Tata alone and stuff, just really rips into him. And then when she meets up with Tata later and finds out that Tata actually is in love with Wazu she realizes her mistake, but Wazu was already pretty crushed and decided to continue on his journey leading to Tata needing to chase him down.
