What a callous group of players. I'd think most people in a fulldive VR type of game would feel at least some remorse at killing fleeing realistic human villagers? Imagine the screams, the blood, the fact without one clean hit they're left pleading on the ground for mercy, and none of these players in this story even went, "that was kinda fucked up, no?" to the group.

I swear the gods who messed with the scenario in an earlier chapter did it specifically to waste MC's time, making npcs more likely in the short term to screw him over.
Also, since I haven't read the novel, my thought is that this specific floor of "regret" (or whatever it was) was called that because you're meant to die due to differing circumstances and the limited amount of time to improve, to then regret not getting further when you respawn (probably meaning this is one of the few floors you're meant to die and move on as death is permanent almost everywhere else).

No idea, but I'm guessing that either Morse coincidentally had his hidden class he earned be related to the end scenario Dex pushed forward, or he's the one normal player to have the most playtime due to his habit of sitting in his pod for 2 days straight at a time and that had something to do with his selection.

Triangle is my favorite, but I have to agree that people in general seem to have a fondness for rectangles, just look at common architecture or storage solutions and I think you'll agree with me.. Or just how pleasingly simple the right angle is.
