Perhaps MC's fear/dread/memories of probable-fujoshi previous-MC were read by this "love god"-whatever and he determined them to love MC the most out of anyone. Maybe there's an intangible link even after death that comes from the previous timeline's probable-fujoshi's obsession with him and perhaps that obsession lives on our MC like a curse especially now that fujoshi-guy's soul probably have an imprint of both that obsession and dying at the hands of MC.

Assuming the theory I heard some comment sections ago was correct, that being that "that guy" was a fujoshi (rotten-girl) prior to transmigration and simply went on a power trip now that they could live all their yandere uke seme fantasies I think it's fairly reasonable that their love for MC could be really broken (broken people have broken OP feelings). Absolutely perfect. I wanted to see something like this without it detracting from the big badass dragon aspect so I'm glad the cute human-like form has something like stat reductions and mana drain to make it inconvenient to keep on all the time (was it like a 50% reduction back in those earlier chapters? maybe it slightly improved? (if it does improve I hope it doesn't ever fully avoid stat reductions, I think 20% less would be a fine maximum on efficiency)). They probably won't ever have it on in a serious battle, and it's a plus that their mana drains a bit faster than it regains so it pushes out the possibility they keep it on for long periods of time at least at this level of evolution. Temporary monstergirl/boy/femboy/thing is peak!!!
