I assume it's because this manga is on a weekly/bi-weekly serialization, so chapters simply has to be split to meet deadlines, also makes it easier for readers to identify how the "chapters" should be grouped together.

If you just called them ch. 13, 14, 15 then you wouldn't know they're supposed to be read together. Because it's often the case with a serialized manga these days that each chapter is self contained, like with western cartoons where most episodes can be watched in any order.

Tanya should have gone the Thermonuclear weapon route with the crazy scientist, seems to be the only way to prevent the coming world war. With this being a world of magic, it would be easier to find a way to kick-start a chain reaction. Perfect chance for a job at the rear too, but even if she doesn't know how to build one I'm sure everyone in the 21st century is aware of the principle behind them, and that alone is enough for a scientist to get started.
