It seems likely that the school president got persuaded to use dark magic to achieve his ideas of equality.

I mostly just felt like saying that. The sayings both boil down to the environment will influence the person. They do differ on the assumption of the "default". Villains not being born assumes everyone is born good while my saying assumes the opposite. I don't actually think it is that black and white, but I just wanted to say the alternative. Especially because if you watch human development you could argue humans start off completely selfish. As the brain develops, we become more aware of those around us. Then a mixture of natural development, culture, and environment humans become more cooperative.

100% it is lame. Creating a curve because the test was more than the students abilities is one thing. Setting a curve so only 1 (or select number) of people can get a certain grade is dumb. It takes away all nuance of ability.

I like how most academies I have seen in manga or manhwa have absolutely 0 interest in teaching. They basically say, "fuck it, you either have it or you dont". There is 0 effort to help people understand the material.

I see that the academy hasn't employed the best and brightest as their teachers.
