Back when the series went on hiatus for 2 years, iirc most of us thought it ended abruptly. I think it did ended.
And now the author finally finish Dou's story, after 7 years. (Based on released dates here.)

We all want more of Dou's journey, more wholesome adventures, and even more arcs until Dou becomes Dou Maou-sama.
And that would mean we see her grow up or time-skip.
I think this is the BEST HAPPY END for Dou-sama.
Let's hope the anime will adapt the entire series.🤩🎉
