i guess because they have some kind of meaning behind thrm, like without the side characters, we wouldn't have a story just based on a mc but many mc's or a world with just the mc.
side characters have their own stories and to me, they kind of just seem like a fever dream, it's there for a short peroid of time and then that's it and things continue.
we're all mc's of our own stories but sometimes life just makes it feel like we're a side character at times.
but yeah, i just admire them as no one pays attention to side characters all that much and instead pay attention to the supporting and main characters as stories are nornally intended.

i'm rereading but forgot most of the story, i do know that it turns out good for those woman at least considering the dirrection the story is going.
