The shield however, can block anything which means it imposes its 'existence' upon anything it interacts with. The shield is therefore in a higher tier compared to the sword.

The thing with Ainz isnt just that he has the passive emotion dampener, but also its like hes actually a human that has been transported into the body of a lich.

He still has his human mind as the base. The instincts of a lich, the way a lich considers the value of life, and the brutality of his actions when he sets a goal as a lich. All of these things have molded into his self over time.

Also, its not necessarily that he considers everyone an NPC outside of his guild, but that only those in his guild have actual value to him. Man while this manhwa is really faithfully showing the novel, I wish the artist would speed up the slow parts a bit so we can get to the action faster.

That weak personality is the japanese equivalent to the chinese "face culture". Its just the weak willed "cant say no directly because it might sound offensive" BS ingrained in japanese culture. Almost every japanese MC in these types of stories have that passive cuck-adjacent personality.
