Why did the mother get weird with the guy who was helping her up? She was rude and so was the daughter pushing and pulling on a stranger that had said sorry already. Then when he came over and said it again they both acted strange. Maybe I am missing something here.

She just skipped out on the reading of the reports to lording her expertise in shopping. The girlfriend was self professed to be the girlfriend, to him she was a friend girl they were supposed to go on a date that she initiated, but we never heard or saw the date happen. As I remember it she told him she liked him and asked him out, he said yes, then she told him not to tell anyone else. He went back into cafe and when the other guys asked him what they talked about he did not give an answer because she came back in the door and told everyone that they were dating and then she ran away, It was never shown if they actually went out on the date or are dating.
