Hmmm, rather than having a plot. This story seems moreso made to have this barbarian go through tropes than having anything actually substantial. Kind of sad really

THIS is good. Its great to see a story where an organization will bend because they see good talent about to waste. Usually in a story/setting where 'Only the last person out of 100 people will be chosen' except theres 10 people who are gifted/exceptional, why are they stupid enough to let them die literally "just because" of the rules. Quality over quantity except theres literally quality right in front of you that you let die because only x can go on

I dont mean to bash so hard, im not here to say something bad like the last 2 comments i left, but i guess this is just a story that just plays out like the flash or any other super hero. "As fast, slow or as strong as the plot needs them to be"
Other than that its good to see what seems like a potential romance candidate, or at least woman character

Honestly, its of course for the plot, but what a joke man, seriously. The mc can dodge an attack with ZERO presence from a being with skills on a TOTALLY different plane of existence(how the story is portraying it) and can even escape him, but when its to trash so much inferior to who mc just encountered, the mc is trading blows instead of dodging, except the story is portraying it as something the mc cant dodge/its literally difficult for the mc to dodge it in the first place despite him being able to dodge and run from someone literally any other competitor has no business even breathing around.

The story is already failing on itself a little bit. Mc has heightened senses to the point he can sense fully well trained assassins, but is ending up in situations where he has to run from people that are literally "not that skilled" he wouldve sensed them fifty years ago. He can dodge attacks from a literal martial master or something, who trained him in the beast path/pavilion or whatever but is getting caught from attacks from people "not that skilled" albeit the master was using probably force/skill on par just to Train the mc, but the 2 are still not the same, a master wouldnt half ass garbage attacks to train a random who joined. Maybe the story can become a little more consistent in the future. But so far execution of this third trial is pretty bad

Genuinely if most people kept good care of themselves, worked out even just once a week. and knew how to cook. Most guys would turn from 5 out of 10s into 8 out of 10s

bro thats 2 dimensional thinking. The world tree is only 1 enemy, same thing with the other world's god. meanwhile the kaiju may have more than 1 which is what all the talk sounded like, meanwhile we can already see how strong the demon kings are and theres like over 50 of them, not even getting into their ultimate demon king or whatever. I think the only time this manga showed the world tree actively doing anything after the worlds merged was some animal or maybe it was some character running away from a root that was trying to chase it, and it instantly drained whatever animal or whatever the root was able to pierce
