They're so out of focus though it'd be interesting to see some of them fleshed out a bit more, I guess. I don't really mind most of em being in the background doing background things either though since so many authors can't really manage a large cast all that well.

I mean, it is repeating a lot of plot points from earlier with some minor changes so far. That plus no real investment in anyone aside from MC and the fact that the two girls who were also major parts of the plot before and kept a good chunk of people interested were put on a bus at the start of this arc? It's no wonder a lot of people don't exactly feel happy with this right now. Haven't read the LN so I can't tell you if it's butchering the plot from there or not, but if they're skipping details from there or something it'd make sense too compared to how we know they were sticking fairly close to it originally.

Like, it'd make sense if they thought it was because of the new artist because that's a recent change and they were enjoying it before. 75 chapters in, though, you know what to expect out of something like this so why would anyone torture themselves with something they think is shit for that long instead of just leaving within the first 5-10 chapters? Maaaaaaaaaybe stretched out to 20 or 30 if the chapters are really short or they're super anal about giving something more than a fair shot to do something they can enjoy.

Such a shame Flora is a genuinely powerful mage in her own right or MC might have been able to flip her without needing this fight.
