Oh for sure. Thing is just that... nobody would actually report to him properly if they somehow succeeded. And since they'd all be in on it as far as covering for each other, cleaning/hiding evidence, etc? If the King wished to maintain rule instead of being overthrown he'd have to back down and be reasonable instead of going along with whatever madness the princess was doing. At least, in their eyes.

After all, none of them realize just how powerful she is (secret weapon and all) or that she very much has the king's ear so he'd take her version of events over anything they'd claim because he knows better. So to them it's a humbling/re-educating/(insert excuse here) they can totally get away with and that will "save" their prestigious school's reputation and status quo and all that crap. They don't realize that if they actually got what they were after and made her decide to ditch them that they'd just be screwing themselves over. Bigots are kinda like that though.

Speaking of which, you have to wonder what mental gymnastics miss tsundere twintails is using to justify herself. She's so anti-bullying and against the student council's tactics that she... doesn't stand up for herself, leads the bullying, and stays silent about it when she's not directly involved? Girl is way too short-sighted if she doesn't realize from the demonstration she had against the princess that the smarter move here is to swap sides and bide her time until she gets sweet vindication and possibly a huge boost in knowledge of both magic and physical ability since the Princess is obviously above all the other students on both counts.

Would be if she was "normal" for them.

But because everyone except the King seems to have their heads up their butt and are basically turning a blind eye to it all to "straighten her out" or whatever they're deluding themselves into thinking, it's one of those rare few times where screwing with the nobility wouldn't be a problem at all. And while normally that would still be bad because of the King decidedly NOT overlooking this stuff, the King has enough sense to realize a secret weapon isn't very secret if everyone knows about it, so he can't just directly step in or tell anyone why he's supporting the seeming "madness" of this one princess.

That being said, little sister definitely has some hero worship for her big sister and is unlikely to take news of what others are trying to do to her lying down so...

It's nice seeing the stark contrast between how he and Alice are now, how they were at the start of things, and how he was towards her in the backstory. From a random NPC he killed without any concern, to an ally of convenience he was fine with using as suited his needs good ol initial spinning her while she's stuck in the ring (and who felt similarly towards him), to the two of them becoming true partners with unconditional trust in each other. Been a great ride, hasn't it? And them very obviously having feelings for each other now is just the bonus to that.
