So, she pulled out a single edged sword, or what is usually called a saber. I don't know if the raws called it a dao though. Still, it's not usually a weapon used by women. I'm interested to see if her character ends up being similar to a berserker, which is close to the standard temperament of saber users. It would be a pretty funny gap if so. Of course, I might just be over thinking it.

Author just likes pop culture references, just from what I casually remember, we've already seen Miku, Doraemon, Naruto, and One Piece. I'm sure there will be more.

Well, speaking from web novel experience, most Chinese content is just lightly brushed up mtl, sometimes by someone with a poor grasp of both Chinese and English. That considered, mistakes are pretty easily forgiven. You get used to turning off your brain over time if you like the overall setting/world building/tropes enough to keep seeking this kind of stuff out.

How does that catastrophically disastrous attack do less than the ten damage the shield negates? Is 10 damage supposed to be super massive in this world? Even in d&d inspired worlds 10 damage or defense isn't some world ending figure, and they are typically the tightest, least inflated numbers you'll see in fiction. This all feels ridiculous, and it's annoying to see such terrible decision making being rewarded with minimal consequences. These characters are all begging for death but unable to die.

Really confusing status screen. In chapter 2 healing lv1 is listed as a skill, which everywhere in the world means he already has it, but apparently he has been adding skills as he goes without any supporting exposition or art, then suddenly we learn that he needs more skill points to get his 3rd skill, the level 1 healing that almost any normal person would assume he already has. And conveniently, he didn't take even though his teammate was injured, coincidentally he needed defense and attack to survive, but these are just bad choices that worked out by luck. It feels super contrived, and the missing details make it super easy to handwave away any problems that might occur due to MC's terrible decision making. I really want to like this because I love hard support, but right now I hate both the mangaka and the MC. So frustrating.

Sigh, this mc really has a lot of room to grow, since he's basically starting at a level of wits comparable to garbage juice.
