You surrender and find out it was a small group you could have easily beaten? Or they lied and now you are being used against the people you are trying to protect. If you trust the enemy more than yourself, then you shouldn't be in a position of power. Also if long range communication was so readily available then why is MC using radios? It exists but is probably hard to use or not avaliable in some places. You should work on your critical thinking skills because you seem to be really lacking those, it's concerning that with a lack of information you assumed that you would know all that about the enemy and would just roll over without a fight.
