NoroiArthur basically said to his father they should visit more or just pull out of the battlefield all together to take care of Ellie and they had an argument. Also he pitched the train blueprints to Gideon after he returned to the castle, also and this comes a tiny bit later so we still might see it so spoilers Arthur is pretty much responsible for abolishing slavery since he does that when he presents the train to the council. (Not that it matters since they'll never have the time to build a train given that they'll lose the war before they even start building)
