Do you think the author made the mc so useless and pathetic so he could stretch the story out? There's so many decent or cool moments sprinkled in here and there but a lot of the times they've got the most boring pointless chapters between them. It makes me think the author had a story in mind but it wasn't going to go on for this long, so they were told to or decided to inject so much pointless filler and characters to try and bulk up the story.

Either way it's kinda disappointing when all these cool developments are too little too late
