China has comprehensive copyrights, but ONLY for Chinese. For anyone else, the law basically forces you to let China rip you off, or you can't do business in China. They sued QualComm a BILLION dollars for NOT letting China steal!

Other countries do not enforce laws against their own people, and even protect their people from the countries seeking to enforce the law.


But Plastic Man is a separate and MUCH less known villain-turned-hero in MARVEL pantheon, he stretches and shapeshifts...kind of a gag series before it became popular, and WAY before Deadpool.


MARVEL has gotten stupid with suing, from SKINDEX to suing City of Heroes for making MARVEL characters in-game--but turned out the ones making the MARVEL characters...WERE MARVEL EMPLOYEES! The lawsuit was thankfully thrown out. You cannot sue for what your own people are doing. Or something like that?

Kamen Rider, on the other hand seems to be OK with blatant ripoffs, and even went so far as to make a canon crossover with Shin Chan! He is the last protagonist I'd expect to be given the power of the Belt.
Haiyore Nyaruko-san has the most references per minute of any show I've ever seen, everything from Kamen Rider Den-O to OOO!
And ALL the heroes of 1000 Yen Hero have a Hero Belt, but transform into weird things that don't resemble the Kamen Universe.
And in Arachnid, the main bad guy has trained himself to do a "True Rider Kick"!
