Dice_24KFor whatever it's worth, the main reason the dad won't properly make the connection is because... that's just how common sense works. He's an old man with a firm grip on reality. Her actually being from the past can't be real -> and no matter how much evidence exists to support it, it can just be explained by... well, a goofy son being goofy.

Logical answer: "it is weird, but she isn't very educated as she didn't go to school; so by explaining all that to her - along with her trust in him, so she believes what he said -> this actually helped calm her down."
