Here we go again.

People need to realize not everyone need to or can be redeemed.
The Author was doing great till suddenly every villain and evil asshole has to see the light of the day.
She organized a coup, murdered a lot of people, tried to murder her sister, resurrected an evil god that if wasn't stopped would have killed everyone, DID KILL the leader of divine beasts, enslaved the rest of divine beasts.
Did all that and walked away free with a mansion and servant in the country-side with easy access to outside like they gave her a pension and asked her to resign.
Seriously, i would have executed her publicly.

    No, her father said to stop pursuing that path, but either way it was her that murdered people left and right. She could have just found that dude and reported it to the Emperor but no, she decided to get revenge while she was at it, revenge I might add against someone who really never did anything to her to begin with, her own sister! Out of jealousy and envy.
    Again, she doesn't deserve redemption

It was better if she died from the fall, but no they decided to make her redemption arc she didn't deserve :) She didn't even take responsibility for what she had done. Being exiled is not enough

Took the words out of my mouth. Anyway, I think realistically, this is a very rare case when the basis for how extreme it's gotten is so flimsy, but it suits the purposes of the story. If you ask me, Yu Juran is twice as bad as Eunseo, even at her worst, given the cat thing and everything else the bitch did. At this point, I do think Eunseo's suffered enough. What she did was thoroughly evil and blatantly involved numerous felonies, but she's gotten a pretty thorough taste of her own medicine by now. I can't blame others if they don't pity her though. I certainly don't have much pity for Juran. Almost zero.

Imagine if the roles were reversed. She is nice, sweet, meek girl, and he is a complete asshole to her. He orders her to go with him to the shrine tomorrow. He calls her a nonentity, insults her looks, and calls her stupid. Then he sends her dick pics and calls her a whore when she sees them. Then he tells her to masturbate before she meets him tomorrow. Then he says that he will kill her if she is late tomorrow. Not only that, but their relationship started when he blackmails her into being his slave by threatening to ruin her reputation and future if she does not immediately replace his underwear every time he decides to take them off in class. She has to prostrate herself, get down on her knees, and put his underwear on him while being as stealthy as possible so no one sees her humiliating herself. And it turns out that somehow, he is NOT the villain of the story, he is her only love interest. Which means there will be no comeuppance for him. His vile actions will be rewarded by her becoming his girlfriend by the end. Would we then say, "How dense can she be? He sat bottomless on her face. How does she NOT know that he likes her?"

No. We would not. He would be the most hated fictional character in all of fiction.
