His mistake was not walking farther fast enough and letting his his ex have a chance to speak that she has done nothing to earn at this point. If she didn't have a damn good and honest explanation at the time of the breakup, she isn't going to have an honest one later. Oh, and putting up with Natsuki's blatant manipulation with the valentines day event. That's ghosting worthy behavior.

It's pretty clear that Reina got caught at minimum in the initial stages of cheating, usually referred to as an "emotional affair" which is still a relationship termination level offense because it isn't the behavior of someone invested in their official relationship.

Yup. "Closure" is a bullshit pseudo-intellectual phrase to justify setting oneself up for completely unnecessary drama. She got caught stepping out, relationship over, end of story, no further emotional masturbation needed, and she has done nothing to deserve any further effort or attention on his part. She deserves no further opportunities to lie or manipulate him into putting up with that sort of treatment. She deserves no further opportunities to feed her ego at his expense, not even one second of his time and attention.

And quite frankly he should have also been freezing out that one "friend" that set him up for unasked for drama with his ex at the valentine's day event too. Don't even leave her messages on read, straight up ghost her ass. Her actions were not the actions of someone that has his best interests at heart, so she deserves none of his time either.
