She went to izakaya so much her sense of food price is askew lol.
Of course it would be cheap. Izakaya is like 2-3 times more expensive than family restaurant. Drunkard don't think much about the price so they can jack up a lot.
(I once spend almost the equivalent of my whole month food budget on one night at izakaya and I wasn't even drunk at the time. lol)

I don't believe thai food outside of thai are that spicy though. There's one idol I know, she went to the famous spicy ramen shop, ordered the most spicy one and she finished without breaking the sweat. I haven't tried that shop myself but I've tried similar one here in thailand and those giving me the perspective of not many other countries can tolerate our spiciness so the recipe would be adjust accordingly depend on what country there're open at.

Green curry is not spicy though. And tom yum kung is not our commonly eat dish. It's gapao, the one rihito mentioned, this one usually spicy.
