Here we go again, Hiromi is fresh out of a relationship, and another beautiful woman is already hitting on him.

Let’s be honest, Mine is a very beautiful woman. She’s the proprietress of her family’s inn and is running it successfully. Like, I don’t know about you, but realistically? She checks all of Hiromi’s boxes.

Even though she’s an old classmate, she brings a sense of humbleness to Hiromi’s life—something he doesn’t really get from the other girls at the share house. He could easily move back to his hometown permanently, become the chef at her inn, and still take care of his granny. It’s all right there.

Of course, we know the writer probably isn’t going to take this route. I’m pretty sure this arc is just setting things up for when Hiromi returns to Tokyo and has to face Lili and the rest of the girls again. But right now? There’s so much potential here. And if the writer did decide to go all in on Hiromi and Mine starting a relationship, honestly, you couldn’t even be mad at it. It fits. It makes sense.

That said, doing so would mean sidelining the rest of the characters who’ve already been built up, and we know that’s not happening. Still, I really liked this chapter. Not once did Hiromi bring up Lili. He’s focused on making sure his granny is healthy, selling the house, and looking ahead to his short-term job at the inn.

So yeah, Chapter 41 is a solid chapter. That’s just my take.
