        No, tanking means taking a hit to negligible effect. And "staying down" and "going down" are two different things; Luffy's thrashed him all across the damn rooftop and sent him sprawling numerous times.

        dude, tanking literally is "Take hits and resist them" but never implies the damage is null, kaido been hit so much the whole fight and even beaten down luffy like 2-3 times during the fight and still taking on its new form, he is tanking the shit out of it

        To be honest luffy took many more hits than kaido, even before this last punch he literally took 3 hard hits, was cut and took a direct laser and is still fighing back, right after awakening from almost dead, luffy tanked way more than kaido

    Well if you consider that he was living comfortable for 2 years cause there is no living thing to figjt him but luffy its constantly polishing his skills everytime we can conclude that kaidou lost by staying too far ahead of everyone ... also he is still carrying the entire island with his clouds

  That was his last head, and it cut to the lantern with the wish to make Orochi disappear, so pretty sure the nuclear cockroach is finally deded.
  Also, here lies Orochi, the most pathetic-ass primary antagonist in One Piece for, despite having a Mythical Zoan, never having so much as a single named attack.
