Honestly in things like reincarnation or transmigration I always wonder the psychology damage. It bugs me how all of them never really had an identity crisis or whatsoever.

  thats why i prefer isekai. transferred completely. and also thats why mushoku is a good reincarnation. coz despite reincarnated as a newborn.. there are times rudeus doubt himslef.. he think he murdered "rudeus"'s soul and used his body

    This is technically an isekai lmao. But yeah I would love if they dwell on that topic more. Like Inso's law for example she didn't just accepted all of this as easily as these people did.

      I tend to separate it... isekai can be divided to two main theme... the isekai itself which "transferred to another world" and tensei "reborn as" i m sure you know this... just wanna conversation companion

        yeaaa reborn isekai genre are really great because of the start from scratch and, despite having past memories, they are truly the inhabitants of the baby's body. meanwhile replacement isekai genre, typically about avoiding death flags of previous vessel user, are interesting because you get two set of memories colliding. I would even go further and say there is the time-travel type isekai where after dying you are reborn as a younger self and your goal is to avoid death. ISEKAIS ARE THE BEST be my conversation buddy pwease :))

  There is a mahwa of this genre that touches upon at one point on the psychological damage of the transmigated mc. "Kill the Villainess". The mc at one point suffers a nerve crisis because she couldnt handle feeling isolated in a new world where basically 99% of the people shunned her and isolated her.

I think the manga's point is that the MC is rightful to not intervine, yeah, shit had happened, and the character had gone trought the wringer- But that's the point isn't it? If an MC in a shonen gets bodied by a nobody in the early stages and gives up then that wouldn't make him a shonnen MC, he admits, "My cheat re-incanation might've made thing easier, but that would take away the grow of the characters within this story"

Yeah, he could've blowed away the challenges and made everyone safe... but that means he'll have to spend his entire childhood bailing them out. The Author made it clear, anytime the heroes stumble they dust pick themselves up and dust off to keep moving forward.
