I don't get this story anymore. If the idea is that he has way too much sexual energy and she has too deep a hunger for sexual energy, both to the extent that it isn't safe for them to sleep with normal people, aren't they one another's ideal solution? Isn't it long overdue they figured that out? The story needs to stop with the artificial barriers against them getting together and instead move on to a phase where they realize this and yet it's still awkward for them to get past their fears and let down defenses they've built up for so long. Where they know they're right for each other, but it's going to take time and effort for them to become comfortable with intimacy and their growing closeness. It should be about getting over their hangups and learning to be a couple, together.

If the author can't take the story forward and instead just keeps throwing in ever-increasingly contrived roadblocks, then I'm done.
