I've been reading too many of these for too long that I usually take the titles with a pinch of salt now so my expectations are fairly low.

I kind of like the fact that the MC is essentially just a guy.tm
Some classic slightly depressed older gen x doing a bit of house sitting rather than some poor edgelord wallowing in his dark pit or worse some mindless gamer bro.

We also forget this is all early game discovery time. Letting him discover the bare basics of what he can do with people so don't worry, the likelihood of y'all getting mr god complex is still fairly high. XD
