Okay, hard to decide exactly what to make of this one. I would say I'm glad I read it, but it has some issues. The last two arcs definitely seem a bit rushed to me, and like they needed more time to properly go through events and explain things so they made sense. I'm guessing this mangaka was quite busy, and likely had to force the schedule of the series to an early close, this one definitely feels like it got the axe to me, which is a shame, because I mostly like this one, and it could have been great, had it been longer and more carefully and thoroughly handled.

The characters are interesting and mostly charismatic, and the concept of the shadows, the shadow world, and Chronos, as well as the designs were cool, and I found them interesting. At the same time, the mix of time skips and back and forth flashbacks and flashes back to the present, as well as some awkward translation made things somewhat vague and confusing, and a bit hard to follow. It was also strange how certain, pretty huge things were built up, but then resolved very quickly with few repercussions. It has a nice series of plot twists, though sometimes you get whiplash because they happen a bit too quickly, and there may be some logical inconsistencies there I haven't pieced together. There is one I know of for sure, and that is, whatever happened to Kiriki in the end was very much glossed over.

I can also understand that an author's first creation is not always an indication of their full potential, and sadly, this one seems to have not made any other manga. I'm going to bookmark this one incase this creator ever returns, but as of now, I think the best I can give this one is a 6.5/10. It's a fun quick read, and has just enough suspense and drama to have been interesting, while ending on a fairly wholesome note, but it definitely seems to me like it was meant to be more fun, and longer, and the characters' motivations would make more sense if the sequence of events and the dialogue exchanges were more fleshed out.
