There are certain social events in that manhwa has made me realize... Projectile vomiting on command could be really useful. Maybe not here, maybe not now. I'm just saying.. more defense methods.

It's a shame she's too smart to just kill him and the witch next to him. She knows but has no evidence -> but sometimes, you need to just act first and worry about the fallout later.

Also, she can lie. The moment she was attacked by those bandits in the alleyway, she could've said that her brief interrogation with one resulted in her obtaining a confession - which is a blatant lie but no one else knows that -> but it should be enough for her to kill the witch - or at least run her through with a sword -> and if the witch survives due to her magic, then that's self-fulfilling proof that she is a witch.

Yes, it is unfair from everyone else's perspective, but if you're trash, then who cares?

It’s ridiculous to say that most people don’t handle things in a healthy way in situations like that. She could’ve easily said, ‘I lost someone important to me—let me dedicate my life to becoming better. I can’t get over the death of him and my cousin, but I won’t make things worse for the people around me, especially those who rely on me to lead this kingdom.’

But she never thought like that. She acted out of desperation—and that desperation turned into stupidity. It got her master killed, led her to try forming a contract with a demon, only to find out that the person she’d been looking for was alive the whole time. Why? Because she failed. She failed to search for him properly. If she had looked for the barbarians—if she had even tried to track down the barbarian heir—maybe she would’ve found him.

Not everyone takes a dark turn over loss. And honestly, it’s a slap in the face to the main character. He went out of his way to save her, to preserve her life—and what does she do? She offers her life to a demon just because she’s desperate to see someone else alive. That’s not noble. That’s just stupid. No matter how you spin it, she made a dumb decision
