Here's some more elder advice/observations:

When you get older your brain still mostly feels young. After you turn about 30 your mind kind of "snapshots" there as your own adult identity.

When you get older you'll go through a phase in your 20s and 30s where you want to toss everything you don't need anymore but when you get in your 40s you get nostalgic for the past.
I suggest you try to save some of your favorite things in good condition for when you get older. The oldest item I still have is an Amiga Computer from my 20s. I wish I had even just a few more things.

When you're young your hormones make you obsessed with sex like it's the most damn important thing in the world. When you're older and have had plenty of it you wonder why you made such a damn big deal about it. It's mostly hormones. Don't let thirst for sex make you do stupid things or make horrible mistakes. It really is better to chill out as best as you can and wait for someone worth being with long term before you do things like that. (and I've been an atheist for like 40 years so this isn't coming from a religious angle). Once you find that life mate you kind of wish you didn't do the things you did with other people before. (not everyone feels that way but many do)

Oh and some financial advice!
Live beneath your means. Try to stay out of debt because it can be hard digging out. When you get your first car don't spend too much on it.
If you live somewhere you wouldn't mind staying for at least 10 years consider buying a house because sometimes a mortgage payment (the taxes etc) is cheaper than rent and you build equity. (of course this one assumes you have enough income and good credit rating and can find a low enough interest rate)
