I just kept on imagining the egg out of her like pop
Wow. Think about how convenient this is for the mc. The super duper paranoid alliance that false accused and wrongfully executed his father, a long serving and loyal soldier, then sacked the place and took every martial text, and even put an abandoned impoverished orphan under watch, saw some big walls with mysterious ancient writings on them and said "no, I know we took all the texts and are super paranoid about revenge, but let us leave these mysterious ancient walls covered in ancient writing right here and not destroy them, nothing bad could happen right?"
This is so contrived. If the central heavenly alliance ordered the creation of the northern heavenly sect in the first place, then they should be able to order it to disband as well (similar to a military), without any fake accusations, drama, or wrongful executions. There is no reason to believe that since the 4 pillars had abandoned him already, the sect leader wouldn't have just peacefully disbanded his sect and lived in exile. As soon as the central heavenly alliance convinced the 4 pillars to forsake the leader, the sect was already over, no execution necessary, and the leader couldn't have had any complaints since the enemy had vanished from the border. The sect leader was clearly not a threat on his own, without a sect to command, so the idea that the central heavenly alliance would demand his death is very questionable, it seems like he had to die not for their safety since he wasn't a threat, but for their reputation since they defamed him as a traitor, it would be obvious that they were liars if they allowed him to live after those accusations. That's the problem though, the lie isn't even believable, they shouldn't even require those accusations to disband the sect. A simple, "look, the 4 pillars have left you, it's time to move on" would have sufficed. I mean hell, if the 4 pillars left and took all of their disciples with them, then the central heavenly alliance would have already succeeded in dismantling the northern heavenly sect, the sect leader could even stay at the border and it wouldn't have made a difference since so many of his people would have left. The northern heavenly alliance would have been a fraction of what it once was. The conspiracy in the chronicles of heavenly demon was so much more believable and better done. The accusers even planted evidence to frame the victim, in this case, it's just sloppy, and how would the central heavenly alliance's reputation fare after killing such a loyal servant who sacrificed and fought the enemy for so long at the rural border away from all life and civilization?
